Our awards are designed to highlight and showcase your amazing talent. Any individual or Business operating in Scotland can enter. There are 31 different titles to go for so make sure you choose the categories that you are most talented in.
You are not limited to a single entry, businesses can enter up to 6 categories !
Motivate yourself and your staff, boost morale and get rewarded for all the hard work. Get improved PR exposure and increase your reach to new clients. An Award is a sign of quality, innovation and dedication to your profession and can make a real difference to you, your team and your business.
The SHABA Awards are also designed to stimulate public interest in the services being delivered by the Salons. Therefore we encourage members of the public to vote for their favourite individuals and businesses in the first stage of the competition, this along with the information provided at registration determines who is shortlisted.
THE ENTRY PROCESS
REGISTRATION:
You need to register by clicking on the button below. Here you will find a form to complete. Select the titles you are competing for, remember you increase your chances of getting through to shortlist, the more you go for!
The cost is £50 for a single entry and £100 for multiple entries (up to a maximum per entry of 6). Payment is taken online via our secure payment gateway. You can pay using any credit or debit card.
Please note the the title of Aesthetic Practitioner, requires you to be a fully qualified, Doctor, Dentist or Nurse!
Photographic Evidence may be required at shortlist stage.

MARKETING MATERIAL:
Posters and Tent cards will be provided to help you advertise that you are up for an award. These will be posted to you before voting opens. We would also encourage you to use social media to get the message out as well! Your clients can vote for you at www.scottishhairandbeautyawards.com.
To help you, we provide a VIP package, where one lucky voter will be chosen to receive 2 tickets to the event and a host of other goodies.
VOTING:
Online voting on this website opens on 01 April 2024 and closes on 30 April 2024
Only one vote per valid email address will be counted. This is automatically controlled by our security software.
After voting closes, the votes will be counted with the Finalists notified 01 July 2024
COMMUNICATION:
SHABA will send out updated emails on a monthly basis to keep you informed of progress throughout the process. Please ensure that the email you supply in your application form is the one best for this purpose.
We also encourage you to connect with our Facebook and Instagram pages, as we make full use of these mediums.
JUDGING THE FINALISTS:
All Hair, Barber and Artist titles along with Best Salon Design will be required to submit photographic evidence for judging. Cosmetic Practitioner must hold a valid license. It will be important to your success, to ensure only high quality images are submitted. Full instructions will be sent at SHORTLIST Stage.

Winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner on 01 September 24 to be held at the Glasgow Hilton
